The Two-Way Bilingual Immersion (TWBI) Program at Ramona Elementary is the longest-running dual language program in the South Bay, proudly serving students for 28 years. Our program provides a rigorous and enriching educational experience from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 5th grade, fostering bilingualism, biliteracy, and cross-cultural understanding.

As the district’s only dual language program, TWBI follows a 90/10 instructional model, where students learn in both English and Spanish, developing high levels of academic achievement in both languages. Our goal is to prepare students with the linguistic and cultural skills needed for future success in a global society.

Enrollment for the TWBI Program is open to all incoming TK and Kindergarten students in the district. Spaces are limited, so we encourage families to apply early!

Application Process

Parents interested in enrolling their child must fulfill the following obligations:

1 - Submit an application  (English) (Spanish)
2 - Attend an informational parent meeting
3 - Submit an enrollment packet to your home School

For more information about eligibility and the application process, please contact the Ramona Elementary office at 310-675-7189.
